Rowdens were founder members of App Advisory Plus and have access to our one-to-one help desk support service. They use the service to ask for support with apps, including accessing our research service.

All of the Rowdens team are signed up to App Advisory Plus as part of the Rowdens subscription, meaning anyone can submit a query to us via the My Account section of their profile.

In this instance Penny Rowden FCA, Director of Rowdens, submitted a query related to CarVue. It was being considered as an option for a client of hers who runs a second hand car dealership. Penny was specifically interested in understanding how CarVue handled the VAT margin scheme, part-exchanges, and if the stock functionality would facilitate easy reconciliation. And of course how everything integrated to Xero.

Whilst we had no experience of CarVue either, to help Penny we took out a trial and began testing the product and how the integration worked. Our total research and documentation time was between 2 and 3 hours, and we provided Penny with a detailed response on the same day.

We have since put the research into a knowledge base article, which has been made publicly available in this instance to demonstrate the kind of depth that we went in to in order to resolve the query, detail which would rarely be obtained through asking questions on social media groups.

Penny saved hours in time researching, and was able to conclude that CarVue would not be suitable at this time.

To benefit from our Help Desk support service you must have a registered account with App Advisory Plus. To obtain support members can submit queries via the  ‘Get App Advice’ contact form, found in the My Account section of their profile. Our Help Desk then assess the query and provides an App Advisory Points estimate for providing an answer. Points can then be purchased or earned points can be redeemed to resolve the query.

You can earn App Advisory points by:
