Dext for Businesses: An Enhanced Experience with New Features

The following features are now available as part of the current Dext subscription:

1. Dextension

A new Chrome browser extension that allows users to view Dext data within Xero and QuickBooks interfaces, facilitating smoother transitions.

2. Document Search

Advanced search capabilities within Dext enable users to quickly locate any document.

3. Email Trail

Comprehensive email tracking linked to documents enhances communication and tracking.

4. Amazon Business Integration

Seamlessly integrate Amazon Business accounts to automatically capture and process receipts. (This feature will soon be available for Australian customers.)

5. Purchase Order (PO) Matching

Streamline purchase order processes by matching POs with invoices for increased accuracy.

6. Mobile Share

Share documents and collaborate directly from mobile devices.

Upcoming Features

Dext will soon introduce three new features designed to streamline bookkeeping and enhance control over employee expenses and supplier invoices:

1. Supplier Statement Extraction and Verification (Available mid-August)

This feature will quickly reconcile supplier invoices, detect errors, and prevent fraud. It extracts essential information from supplier statements and assigns statuses to each line, providing a clear view of invoices already in the system and those still needing attention.

2. Mileage Tracking (Available September)

Automatically or manually record trips for personal or company cars. Dext will calculate reimbursement amounts based on legislative requirements or custom information, posting them as cost items and adding them to expense reports.

3. Approvals** (Available September)

Multi-step and multi-stage approvals workflows can be set up for different users and groups to efficiently manage the approval of supplier and customer invoices and employee expense claims.

4. Enhanced Dext Experience Coming Soon

Starting in early September, users will have the option to switch to an updated version of Dext. This new platform will integrate the capabilities of Dext Prepare, Dext Precision, and Dext Commerce, offering a more modern and intuitive user experience.

Transitioning to the Enhanced Experience

From early September 2024, existing users will be invited to switch to the enhanced Dext experience. Users will have the option to revert to the previous version if desired. Dext has compiled a list of answers to common questions about these changes.
