Now available in 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🇫🇷, the updated roles and permissions provide greater control and flexibility in managing user access. These updates allow users to view only the information relevant to them. Practices can now assign one of three roles to colleagues:
- Practice Admins: Full access at the practice level.
- Client Admins: Access to all clients but limited to viewing rather than managing the account.
- Standard Users: Limited to viewing their own clients, with no practice-level control.

The Evolution of Dext’s Bookkeeping Automation Platform
The first phase of the enhanced Dext experience launched in September. This update includes a more intuitive interface, simplified partner and client settings, easier navigation, and a dedicated insights space.
Dext Precision and Dext Commerce Integration
Dext Precision is becoming part of the unified Dext experience. Previously a standalone product, its key features—such as data health monitoring, clean-up tools, and business insights—will be offered as an add-on for Dext subscriptions. Additionally, select Dext Commerce features will allow integration with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, automatically syncing sales and costs.
Mileage Tracking Feature
Available soon in 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🇫🇷, the new mileage tracking feature automates expense claims by using GPS to track trips, plan routes, and calculate claims based on approved tax rates. This feature reduces manual entry, ensures compliance, and integrates seamlessly with accounting systems.
Introducing Dext Vault
Dext Vault offers secure document storage for contracts, leases, insurance policies, and more. The Vault enables users to request, find, and share documents with clients, while intelligent features like summarisation and reminders extract important details. A basic Vault space is available for free, providing a secure solution for document management.
Dext Payments: Coming in 2025
Set to launch in 2025, Dext Payments will build on the existing approvals functionality to enable automated payment of invoices and expense claims within the Dext platform.
Supplier Statements Feature
Now available in 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 🇺🇸 🇨🇦, Supplier Statements automates the reconciliation process by extracting critical information from supplier statements, helping users maintain accurate financial records.
Dext Solo Updates
Available in 🇬🇧, Dext Solo is a solution tailored for MTD ITSA compliance, enabling practices to streamline workflows for non-VAT-registered, self-employed, and landlord clients. Recent updates include a migration tool, customisable charts of accounts, and improved reporting features.
